Director's Statement
Forgotten Corner was inspired by a sharp rise in the
number of driving fatalities in the Forest of Dean.

Shot in just over 12 days, with a budget of £15,000
this 59 minute film was made entirely by people
living and working in the area with many of the cast
and crew knowing victims of the crashes. Viewers
with connections to the broadcast industry have
commented that the production looks to be more
in the region of £150,000 - £200,000.

The film uses a combination of drama, documentary
and fantasy to deliver information about the deeper
choices we make while driving and pursues an
unusual story - starting where you would expect a
conventional road safety film would finish. The
journey is entertaining yet respectful and
informative without being patronising.

I hope you enjoy the film and we would welcome
your feedback.
